By the end of the shooting episode, all suspects were sent home after they successfully distracted the police officers and investigators.
Pay close attention to this statement from Jerry Lawson.

This means that there were more than two persons shooting that night. However, Former Petty Officer Daoud Boone was arrested while walking in his neighborhood, charged with capital murder before any identification was done. After a well-crafted second trial by the DA, Boone has been convicted of Capital Murder and sentenced to life without parole.

Q: Sir, if you would just state your name and your home address for me?
A: My name is Jerry Lawson, DELETED
Q: Alright, Mr. Lawson, you were at a club tonight when a little Incident occurred that you bared witness to, is that correct?
A: Ah, yes.
Q: Okay, can you tell me where you were at?
A: We was at the front door entrance.
Q: Where, which business?
A: Igor’s
Q: Igor’s and you were at the front?
A: Yes.
Q: Is that the side door facing Calmar or the front door facing the Boulevard?
A: The side door.
Q: So, you were, take a look at this diagram of the Eastern Boulevard, this is Calmar, ya’ll were standing right about there?
A: Yeah, where the old TGI Fridays was.
Q: So, you’re basically facing TGI Friday’s, okay. What time did you get to Igor’s tonight?
A: It was round about 12, 12:30.
Q: 12, 12:30, you know bout what time all of this happened?
A: Around about 12:30.
Q: About 12:30 okay?
A: Yeah.
Q: Okay, so you, did you go to Igor’s by yourself?
A: I drove up there, we were meeting a bunch of guys up there.
Q: Who, who all did you ride up there with?
A: I was just by myself.
Q: You were by yourself, but you were meeting folks up there?
A: Yeah.
Q: So, you drove yourself, nobody rides with you and you meet a bunch of friends up there. Did something special happen at Igor’s tonight?
A: It was one of our friends birthday, everybody was gonna celebrate.
Q: Okay, so, you and who else was standing out here by the door?
A: A guy name Ralph and Larry, all of us was just chit chatting and we was, we was about to leave and we saw a car come up, it was driving real fast and it all most hit the motorcycles on the side of us so, the car just stopped and another car pulled up from behind it and that’s when I had took off in the inside of the building and then when we took off in the inside of the building, that’s when we heard the shots.
Q: Okay, so, ya’ll, ya’ll are standing outside and you see this car pull up, have you seen this car earlier?
A: We saw her leave around about two minutes before that.
Q: Did you see who was driving?
A: It was a female.
Q: Did you see her get into the car?
A: Yeah, we saw her.
Q: Did you, was that the first time you had seen her, or did you see her earlier?
A: Walking back and forth.
Q: Well, lets get everything down. So, you and, you and Ralph and Larry are standing out there on the side of Igor’s and you see this girl?
A: Uh-huh.
Q: Okay, do you see her walk in to Igor’s?
A: The first time we seen her, she walked out of Igor’s.
Q: Was she with anybody?
A: Not at that time.
Q: Not at that time, okay, so she walked out of Igor’s. Did she go back into Igor’s?
A: That’s when she got in her car, she went like towards Bell Station Way, where them Apartments at.
Q: Towards the Liberty Gas Station down there?
A: Yeah.
Q: And Gaslight Curve?
A: Yeah.
Q: Okay, so, she gets in her car, you remember what she was driving?
A: It was a gray car with rims on it.
Q: She had a gray car with rims?
A: Okay.
Q: Can you remember what she was wearing. Did you get a good look at her?
A: Yeah, she had some gray tights on, that’s all I remember.
Q: Okay, alright, so, she gets in her car, was she with anybody, anybody in her car?
A: Not that I know of.
Q: And she takes that left and goes out towards, towards them Apartments?
A: Uh-huh.
Q: Did you notice anything strange about anything when she left. Did you see anybody follow her?
A: No.
Q: No, okay, and about two minutes later you said she pulls back up driving real erratic
A: Yeah.
Q: Okay, does she do anything, jump out screaming, make any noise, blow the horn?
A: No not that I know of.
Q: Not that you could remember, okay. She pulls back up and you see another car pull up behind her.
A: Yeah.
Q: Can you describe that car for me?
A: I remember it was a Dodge, a Dodge Stratus that’s all I remember.
Q: Remember what color it was, and a 4-door?
A: Yeah.
Q: Four-door?
A: Four-door.
Q: Did you see this guy get out. Did you see anybody occupying the vehicle besides the Driver of this Dodge?
A: I didn’t see the person itself, I knew it was a dude in the car.
Q: How do you know that?
A: Cause he had a hoodie on.
Q: He had a hoodie on, okay. Did you ever see him get out of the car?
A: Yeah, he opened up the door and that’s when I ran in the inside.
Q: Why did you run inside?
A: It just, I just felt something was gonna go down.
Q: You felt that something was gonna down. Did you see this guy with any type of weapon or anything like that?
A: Unh-unh, (Inaudible) that’s when I ran in the inside when he had hit her, I think he had hit her from the, with his car.
Q: Okay.
A: And she, and that’s when, you remember she had drove up real fast.
Q: So, you, you get in the inside of the club when you hear a shot from the outside of the club?
A: Yeah, we had opened up the door and ran in the inside and then...
Q: And then that’s when you heard a shot?
A: Yeah.
Q: Did you see this guy shoot?
A: Unh-unh, we had ran in the inside, we didn’t even look back.
Q: Okay, could identify this guy if you saw him again?
A: I didn’t even look at him.
Q: You didn’t look at him?
A: Unh-unh.
Q: So, after you heard the shot, what happen then?
